GamFam provides advice and support to those directly and indirectly affected by gambling harms through structured peer support and signposting to relevant partners and agencies. TellJO is a Prevention and Wellbeing Platform that empowers Councils and Housing Providers to support their customers at the earliest signs of difficulty, preventing entrenched crisis and long term cost. Through the TellJO Wellbeing assessment, 8.5% of respondents state that they are in gambling-related difficulty. TellJO believes that gambling advertising is directly responsible for hardship and potentially gambling-related suicides, and as a society we have a moral responsibility to look after each other and not profit from harm.
The White Ribbon Association is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of the effects that drugs, alcohol, tobacco, gambling and more can have on a person.
Headingley AFC is an amateur football club who play in West Yorkshire Association League Premier Division. In January 2019, it became the first club in UK with a shirt sponsor warning of the dangers of gambling.
Against The Odds is an independent, lived-experience-led organisation delivering prevention, awareness, and treatment around gambling harm. We work with 16–24-year-olds across education and sport, giving young people the tools, confidence and support to recognise risk early and seek help when needed.
